Meerkat Manor Mother’s Day Marathon

Catch a full 7 hours of Meerkat Manor this Sunday, May 11th for their Mothers Day marathon. The marathon begins at noon ET on Animal Planet. The marathon will begin with a season 2 special recap and then continue with the entire season 3, which is also available on DVD.
If you are interested in learning more about the Meerkats you can join the Friends of the Kalahari Project. And don’t forget that season 4 premierson Friday, June 6th.

Meerkat Manor Memorial Weekend Tribute

On Sunday, May 25th from 8-9:30 PM, Discovery Channel will pay special tribute to the former matriarch of The Whiskers, Flower.
The 90 minute biopic of Meerkat Manor: The Story Begins will be narrated by Whoppi Goldberg and will chronicle Flowers life as well as her rise to fame as the head of The Whiskers family.
Immediately following the film will be the documentary The Making of Meerkat Manor: The Story Begins which will air from 9:30 until 10PM ET/PT. The story of Flowers life will encore again on Friday, May 30th followed by a 1/2 hour special The Science of Meerkat Manor, which will begin at 9:30 PM ET/PT.

It’s hard to say when the new season of Meerkat Manor will begin and I know everyone is eagerly anticipating to see what Carlos, Rocket Dog and The Whiskers will get into for the next season. Currently, Animal Planet has the previous seasons in heavy rotation during the prime time hours. Check back often for more updates as well as a Memorial to Flower.
