In the episode we will meet John and Robin Kirton who always wanted to haev a large family. Today, the Kirtons are the parents of six children—each of whom has been diagnosed with autism. Discovery Health presents an intimate view of life with multiple autistic children in AUTISM x6, an hour-long special premiering Wednesday, October 1, at 8 PM (ET/PT).

Discovery Health is now casting people of all sizes, who need to get back in shape, for an intense four-week training program, “Fit to Live,” that will be documented on camera.

Episode Descriptions
Episode 43: Deadly Doses
Premiered Friday, May 23 at 9PM

Story 1: A young woman is overwhelmed by a strange and severe itching attack all over her body, causing her to self-medicate with half a bottle of antihistamine. Her brother finds her semi-conscious and rushes her to the hospital. While she’s there, she seems to get better, then suddenly she develops seizures and dies. Did she die from an antihistamine overdose, or did something else cause her untimely death? Only Dr. G can provide the answers.

Story 2: A major car accident leaves a woman with degenerative disc disease and neck pain. 30 years later, she’s still battling excruciating chronic pain and can only find relief in prescription painkillers. One morning, the woman is found by her husband passed out in her home; she’s rushed to the hospital, but dies in the ER. Her family fears the worst—that the pain grew so unbearable the woman took her own life. Can Dr. G prove this wasn’t suicide and give the family some sense of peace?

Episode 44: Twist of Fate
Premieres Friday, May 30 at 9PM

Story 1: An elderly woman faints behind the wheel and causes a car crash. She’s rushed to the hospital and undergoes a series of examinations… but doctors can’t find anything wrong. Four days later, she suddenly dies. Did the car accident cause her death? Or was the woman suffering from an illness she didn’t know about?

Story 2: Shortly after eating breakfast one day, an 81 year-old man complains of abdominal pain. The pain lasts into the afternoon, so he drives himself to the hospital. X-rays and blood tests are inconclusive, and four hours later, the man codes in the ER. His death is a complete mystery, and only Dr. G can solve it.
