Architecture School – Sundance Channel

Experience the journey of architecture students as they create buildings in the Sundance Channel original series ARCHITECTURE SCHOOL.
The six-part series premiered on the channel on August 20th and comes from co-creators Michael Selditch and Stan Bertheaud. The series follows a group of students at Tulane University’s prestigious School of Architecture in New Orleans.
The premise of the show is different from much of the designs shows that we may be familiar with such as HGTV Design Star. These are students so there are no eliminations, however, students submit competing designs for an affordable home in Katrina-battered New Orleans.

What’s The Big Idea Contest

The Sundance Channel is asking “What’s the Big Idea?” It was the name of one of their contests that they were running. In this contest they were looking for one minute films about one big idea that would help change the world and make it better, greener place. If they liked your video, a lease of a Lexus hybrid and $10,000 to help turn your idea into reality would be yours. The contest was launched earlier this spring, on April 1, and wrapped up on April 30th.

Sundance Channel: The Green

Sundance Channel was the first major network in the United States to establish a major, regularly-scheduled programming destination dedicated entirely to the environment. Each week THE GREEN presents original series’ and documentary premieres about the earth’s ecology and concepts of “green” living that balance human needs with responsible care for the planet.” The Green is hosted by Robert Redford. The Green has some interesting programming such as The Green Porno.
