Back in October 2008 I joined along with the Mythbusters to ask viewers from the YouTube community to send in their favorite viral videos.
So you guys submitted your best YouTube myths and the MythBusters listened! Tune-in TONIGHT to find out if your submitted myths were BUSTED, PLAUSIBLE or CONFIRMED!
The MYTHBUSTERS special marks Discovery Channel’s first program partnership initiative with YouTube. Discovery aired a series of spots beginning in September 2008, hosted by MYTHBUSTERS’ Adam Savage and Jamie Hyneman, that invited viewers to become a part of the myth-busting crew by posting their favorite viral videos to YouTube.

The seventh season of MYTHBUSTERS will begin on Wednesdays at 9PM ET/PT beginning April 8 with a two-hour Demolition Derby Special. The season will have ten all-new high-definition episodes of MYTHBUSTERS that will air in a row.

Testing: The Build Team theorized that feet don’t get burned when waling over coals because the ash on the coals forms an insulating layer and also because the foot does not stay in contact with the coals for a long period. They myths on this episode which aired back in October were very interesting. The team wanted to find out if a motorcycle will flip if a pole is thrust into the front wheel?
They also tackled the good ole prison escape myth…can you break out of prison with a rope made of toilet paper, hair or bed sheets?
