Animal Planet has created a collectors edition of halloween costumes created by leading costume maker, BuySeasons.
Animal Planet Collector’s Edition Costumes are modeled after wild animals made famous on series such as Meerkat Manor and Lemur Kingdom. 
The costumes depict several kid favorites, including a Meerkat and a Monkey; and animals identified by experts as endangered, a Ring-Tailed Lemur, a White Tiger and a Sea Otter.
To show its support for animal interests, BuySeasons will donate a portion of the purchase price of each costume to principal partners of Animal Planet’s R.O.A.R. initiative, a nonprofit advocacy partnership with leading organizations that encourages people …read more

OK, so I’ve done a horrible job of keeping up with my friendly lemurs of Madagascar. I know that they’ve been up to alot since we last checked in with them. This episode recap is from back in February when mating season was in full swing and all the lady lemurs were getting hot under the color due to the little rascals that keep trying to mate with them from outside the gang.

The fourth episode of Animal Planet’s Lemur Kingdom involved a continuation from the last episode, Gizmo’s Fate where Hogarth had wandered off and gotten lost. So little baby Hogarth finally makes his way back to the Graveyard Gang’s sleeping tree and guess what…NO ONE IS THERE!!!

In episode 3 of Lemur Kingdom, Gizmo is just having such a hard time getting through life. It makes me wonder what is going on with this gang of Lemurs and if they are all actually still alive. Anyway, back to the episode. Gizmo is again neglected in this episode by his mother, Amazon and he ends up dying.

I’ve found the soft spot in my heart and it’s for that poor lemur, Gizmo. And now, I’m breaking into my down south talk, his mama just don’t care about him. Poor chile! If you caught episode 2 of lemur kingdom last week you would know what I was talking about. In this episode, Gizmo’smother, just allows him to get beat up my that spoiled brat, Chelsea. Unlike The Furies, The Graveyard Gang is only made up of one family which has about 20 members! WOW!!! The got their name from the fact that they are currently living in a graveyard. And its a seriously old graveyard. The members of the family are:
Hogarth: Liberty’s young son
Jasmine: Juno’s young daughter (and lemur royalty)
Josephine: Juno’s mother
Juno: The dominant female, Juno is a regal queen, who is content with her place at the top of the tree.
Liberty: A subordinate female, who happens to be Juno’s aunt

In this episode of Lemur Kingdom, The Furies invaded the Graveyards territory to seal some of their cactus. And not only did they steal the cactus they erupted in a downright brawl between the two queens, Juno and Electra. These chicks, can I call them that, are so FIERCE!
