Alot of chimps that are at chimp Eden arrived due to the bushman trade. In this episode of Escape to Chimp Eden, Eugene is going to the Sudan to rescue five baby chimps. The twist of this episode is that he needs to make it back to his wife in time as she is 7 months pregnant and expected to give birth at anytime. The season finale of Animal Planets hit show, Escape to Chimp Eden will air on Friday, May 9th at 9PM ET/PT. The season consisted of 11 episodes and followed Eugene Cousins as he rescued and rehabilitated 13 chimps that had been abused and neglected throughout Africa.
In this 12th and final episode, Eugene will try to figure out how he is going to integrate this many chimps in the sanctuary and at what costs, including financial. About a month ago Eugene Cousins from Escape to Chimp Eden was on the Ellen DeGenres show. Eugene talks about Zac, the chimp that was profiled on Chimp Eden and rescued after being chained to a tree for 17 years. Eugene talks about him he works with the chimps and helps them to trust humans again.
The show also profiled Cozi who had never been in a tree in his life…things that should come so basic to these animals.
