They weren’t being offered a million dollar prize or seven-figure job at the end of their journey. Their reward was the chance to have a life-changing experience — the potential to never see …read more

Alaska Experiment – Meet Camp Flower Lake
June 2, 2008 by Healthy Shana
The gang over at Camp Flower Lake are an eclectic bunch coming from all walks of life. We have a group of three persons, two males and one female. Tim, who is 36 is an African American IT Tech for Hewlett-Packard out in LA. Though he’s an LA guy, he seems to be very close to nature…am I being stereotypical here? But he’s into skydiving, bungee jumping, surfing and adventure racing.
The other male, Alan, is 40 and also made his living with computers. He worked on Wall Street, but now has his own business in Jersey. He loves sports and …read more

Jeff is a 35 year old environmental consultant with lots of camping experience. Elizabeth is a 23 year old wastewater engineer.

Greg, on the other hand, spends alot of time outdoors for his 9 to 5 and is concrete mason as well as an avid golfer. Even though he works outside, Greg doesn’t seem to be that adventurous, but wants to share with Bernice her passion for the outdoors.
