How to Eat A Spleen Sandwich

On the September 16th episode of Bizarre Foods With Andrew Zimmern the host heads to Sicily where he is greeted by a variety of odd foods, including sardine meatballs, artichoke ice cream, and cow spleen sandwiches.
The spleen is boiled in a vat of fat before being topped with cheese and tucked inside two slices of bread. I consider myself to be pretty adventurous when it comes to trying new foods, but a spleen sandwich, I’m not too sure!

After watching I went to the only store I could find spleen, bought it cooked it and ate it and loved it.
I only found Pork spleen. The one in the video was cow. Oh well I’m pretty sure all spleen taste the same.
