October 2, 2008 by Healthy Shana

Mike Rowe and the Emmy-nominated series DIRTY JOBS return Tuesday, October 7 at 9PM ET/PT with an exciting lineup of 11 new episodes that have Mike serving as apprentice to the honorable men and women with often dirty – yet extremely important – jobs.
For the new episodes, shot entirely in high definition, Mike takes on jobs such as tar rigging, sheep castrating, maggot farming, dirty chip making and abandoned mine shaft plugging.
Currently continuing its fourth season, Mike has walked in the shoes of hard-working Americans to do everything from road kill removing to garbage collecting to ostrich farming, featuring jobs in industries ranging from construction to sanitation to manufacturing – and has proved along the way that those who perform these jobs day in and day out are the nation’s true heroes.
