Meerkat Manor - The Story Begins is set to premier on Sunday, May 25th on Animal Planet. The movie had its first viewing at the Tribeca Film Festival earlier this month. The full-length feature film (Oxford Scientific Films/South Star) follows the real-life adventures of the “Whiskers” family of Meerkats. The movie documents Flower’s incredible journey from birth to matriarch of the Whiskers mob.
The film is narrated by Whoopi Goldberg and traces the transformation of Flower from a young, inexperienced Meerkat into a remarkable leader who puts her family above all in the fight for survival in one of the harshest deserts on the planet.
