Man vs. Wild Returns May 2nd

March 27, 2008 by Healthy Shana

manvswild.jpgSo Discovery is bringing back the controversial yet entertaining show Man vs. Wild. There have been reports and allegations that Bear Grylls, the host of the show was a fake and that he mislead viewers into believing he actually survived all of these “perilous situations”.

The premise of the show is that Bear is dropped into some of the most remote and inhospitable locations of the world and he will show viewers how to survive. Some of the previous episodes featured him wading rapids and even using his shirt soaked in urine to keep in cool in the desert heat.

Following the allegations from multiple viewers, Discovery launched their own investigation and was forced to air re-edited episodes that they could not provide conclusive evidence about.

If you’ve been missing the show, watch the clip below to get your fix. The show will premier of May 2nd at 9PM and begins with a trip to one of the hottest and driest places on the earth, the Namibian Desert.
