MythBusters - Frozen Shaving Cream

So a fan on the MythBusters message board posted this question ” ive heard if you freeze a can of shaving cream, and saw it in half the two pucks will expand apon thawing to fill a small minivan”.
Let me know your thoughts. Do you think that this can happen? If so, why or why not.
I’ll post the correct answer later today.

    I wouldn’t saw it open. I’d be afraid it would explode. lol But, I’m a sissy like that. :p

    LOL…that’s too funny!
    So even though you wouldn’t saw it open, do you think that if say, someone braver than you (LOL) would happen to saw it open, would it explode enough to fill a minivan?

    Yeah it doesnt work,sadly, However it can make an awesome mess. Firstly get a sanwich baggy and put the frozen shaving cream “pucks” in it the remove the air from the bag by sucking it out.
